Social Committee builds community spirit, promotes participation in parish socials and coordinates parish social events. The committee is made up of non- committee members as well as sub-committee representatives who meet once a month. ponsors of Lenten Fish Dinners and Shrove Tuesday Pancake Suppers. The first meeting of the month is a time of prayer, faith discussion, issues regarding being single again, single parent issues and other topics of interest. The second meeting is usually a social get together held in someone's home for a potluck dinner. All the separated and divorced of our Parish are warmly and cordially invited to attend these evenings of prayer and support. Welcoming Committee strives to greet all our new families as they register at St. Andrew by the Bay with phone call and parish information within two weeks of their registration. The welcoming committee also notifies other parish committees of new parishioners who wish to be involved in parish ministries. New parishioners are introduced to the clergy and pastoral council at quarterly potluck dinners held in the parish center. |
