The Parish Religious Education Program serves students from 4 years old through Grade 12 and beyond.
PREP registration forms are mailed out to registered parishioners with PREP aged children at the end of May. Students are placed .in classes on a first come, first served basis. Registrations cannot be taken over the phone. Families must be registered in the parish to enroll children in PREP.
Classes begin in late September and continue through early May. A specific class schedule will be printed in the Parent Manual and distributed to registered families at the beginning of the PREP year. Monthly schedules will also be posted on the website beginning in September.
The Benziger Family Life Program/Child Protection Program, which is required by the Archdiocese, is incorporated into the PREP program. Materials are also sent home to parents. Copies of the religious education texts and Family Life are available for parental review at any time.

In accordance with Archdiocesan regulations, students must be in a Religious Education Program the year prior and the year they are preparing to celebrate a sacrament.
Readiness, not just a particular age or grade level, is the fundamental criterion determining when an individual should participate in the celebration of a sacrament. It is encouraged, however, that children celebrate both First Reconciliation (Penance) and First Eucharist (Communion) by the time they complete the 4th grade. Parent Meetings are scheduled to provide materials needed for these sacraments. Confirmation classes for high school youth meet twice monthly from October through April. Confirmation candidates also participate in service projects, special liturgies and retreats as part of their preparation.
