Knights of Columbus

In 1882, in the basement of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut, Father Michael J. McGiveny organized the Knights of Columbus as a Fraternal Benefits Society that would protect the widows and children of working men and foster their faith and their social progress. Today it is the world's largest Catholic Family Fraternal Service organization with over 1.8 million members in 13,000 councils consisting of practicing Catholic men, 18 years of age or older, dedicated to and providing service to Church, Community, Council, Family, Pro Life, and Youth through local Council Activity Programs. The Knights of Columbus worldwide have contributed $150 Million and over 68 million volunteer hours to benevolent causes. St. Andrew by the Bay Council #11552, located in the Cape St. Claire area of Annapolis, is the local council providing service to our parish and the community. Come help make a difference!
