Parish Mission Statement

Formed by God’s Word, called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, the parish community of St. Andrew by the Bay seeks to be A Joyful Sign of God’s Reign.

As a baptized community of faith in the Roman Catholic Tradition, we celebrate and witness to God’s presence through:

  • WORSHIP AND PRAYER,
  • LEARNING AND PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS,
  • SERVICE TO GOD’S PEOPLE, AND
  • STEWARDSHIP OF THE GIFTS GOD HAS ENTRUSTED TO US.

 

Library Open:

  • Sunday mornings 9:00-11:30am
  • Summer Sundays (Memorial to Labor Day):  9:30-10:30am
  • During office hours, unless the room is being used.
  • Evenings, before and after meetings.

Sister Parish Covenant Mass & Potluck Dinner

Saturday, October 26

5:00 p.m.

Please come and celebrate our Covenant Mass with Transfiguration Catholic Community, our sister parish in Baltimore.  After Mass, join us for our Pot Luck dinner in the Upper Hall.
 
St. Andrew by the Bay Parishioners are asked to sign up to bring a main dish, appetizer, veggie, or salad (item should serve 8 people) to the Pot Luck Dinner.   Parishioners from Transfiguration will provide the desserts.

Creating Landscapes that Enhance Local Ecosystems

October 30

7:00-9:00 p.m.

We welcome Doug Tallamy, award winning author and professor at the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware.  He'll speak about the specialized relationships between plants and animals, and explain what we can do in our own backyards to honor that reality and the God who created it.  After all, Pope Francis tells us that "everything is connected."

1:00-2:00 p.m. in Church

If you are in 4th Grade or above, WE NEED YOU!  Middle and high schoolers are strongly encouraged to sign up as well, and serve as rolel models for their younger counterparts.  Plus, you can count your hours alter serving towards any community service requirements (Honor Society, Confirmation, graduation, scouting, etc.).  Click on image to sign up!
