Dinners will take place on Fridays, February 24 through March 23 (from 5:00 - 6:45 pm in the Upper Hall of the Parish Center). Enjoy baked fish and potato, salad, green beans, dessert, iced tea and lemonade. The cost is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 6-12 years old, and $3.00 for children 5 years and under. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which serves the needs of the poor.

Tell Congress to Respect Religious Freedom in Health Care Reform

Our religious liberty is being threatened by the US Department of Health and Human Services, which is mandating that all private health insurance plans cover sterilization, abortifacients, and contraception.

It is critical that Congress pass the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act to end this unprecedented threat.

As noted by the Washington Post editorial, “Requiring a religiously affiliated employer to spend its own money in a way that violates its religious principles does not make an adequate accommodation for those deeply held views.”

Visit the Maryland Catholic Conference to send an email alert to Congress at http://capwiz.com/mdcath/home/.
