CLASS OFFERINGS

2’s & Older 2’s

Our 2-year-old program is designed to help 2-year-olds learn to separate from their caregivers and begin to acquire the social skills necessary for preschool.  We will begin teaching the children basic skills such as: lining up, waiting for their turn, sitting and eating at the table, and beginning bathroom etiquette. We will also help them with fine motor skills (play-dough, manipulatives, stickers) and gross motor skills (kicking balls, riding bikes, jumping, etc.). Every day we will do a craft, have snack, recess, story time, music/dancing and free play. Children do not need to be potty-trained. The teacher to student ratio in our 2’s classes is 6 to 1.

Children will learn the basics of writing (holding a pencil), shapes, colors, position words, participating in group activities and following classroom rules. The teacher to student ratio in our 3’s and Older 3’s classes is 8 to 1.

This program is offered Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9am-2pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Pre-K 4 & Pre-K 5

Children in our Pre-K classes engage in kindergarten readiness activities involving deeper learning and more structured skill building. The Pre-K classes increase vocabulary and language skills and provide emotional readiness for higher grades and classroom instruction. Children will continue building on the skills they learned in the earlier classes and also shape new skills that will be used in kindergarten. The student to teacher ratio in our Pre-K class is 16 to 2. The larger class and classroom helps the children adjust to the larger kindergarten classes they will encounter in elementary school.

This program is offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
